Frequency planning.  The allocations in Iceland for radio communications in the frequency range 9 kHz to 400 GHz

Frequency assignments.  Use of the frequency spectrum for communications is subject to an application process and the assignment of frequencies.

Import of equipment.  According to Law on Electronic communications it is not allowed to place on the market user equipment that does not comply with the essential requirements and bears the CE mark as confirmation.

Maritime communication.  The international emergency and safety telecommunication system of today is built upon the principles of GMDSS, the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System.

Radioamateurs. The Post and Telecom Administration issues certificates for radioamateurs that have passed the set examinations. (N- and G-licenses).
